Edaine Scrolls – The 2nd Scroll After the division of the realms the people in the DorsAcera realm prospered. It was a world of plenty and no one wanted for anything. If something was needed it was provided. Either by a neighbor or by the earth itself. Here in the 2nd of the oracle scrolls continue the story. Neos built the Celestial city in the Mountains of the North West. The plains the that neighboured the city housed and feed thousands. The city was for its name was build of crystal and inforced with magic to be have impenetrable walls. It shun white in the Moonlite and shimmered silver-blue in the sunlight. And yet for its magic it light and inflections did not bother the tenants whom resided within the city. Sherkana was protected from the outside world by the volcanic waist-lands in the North -North East. Viredor lay to the East and saw the sunrise over the seas. The changelings found purpose in their power. Shifting from form to form and blending in to other cultures and civilisations. Keeping up with comings and goings of the nations. Dracana bordered the Nox-Averosa and facilitated trading endeavours. This let to a long standing friendship between the independent nation and the King – Xavier – of a small colony in Nox Averosa. But this I will tell you about a bit later. As the name eludes Dracana born the dragon kingdom. Demond would seek out and tame dragons from every part of the globe. Every realm he would travel. Dragons was born before Magi knew magic. But as Magi learned so did their knowledge of the creatures around them. Dragons was one creature that Magi wanted to control and use in to their own ends. But with the dawn of the first War the dragons would not be slaves. They stuck a deal with Demond – ruler of fire – to serve under his command as long as he and his sons remain just and fair kings. Oppo-DorsAccera settled to the South-West and to the Western border of Nox-Averosa. They bothered no-one and no-one bothered them- for the most part. The Nacasias had settled on their Northern border. Granted that a miles of mountains separated the two civilisations it didn’t stop their occasional squabbles. The Nacasias became iron ore miners as the region in which they settled where rich in the ore. Their craftsmen made the most beautiful metal artworks. Tables, Chairs, Chandeliers. But they also knew peace would never last and as such weapons were forged in the mountains. But the Darkness. Zoku did not want part in the protection of the shade. He felt it limited free will and thinking. As did the others who rejected the motion. In his efforts to give his people freedom he doomed them to the Dark. Form the darkness was there before it all began and will remain long after everything is gone. It was no master and it spreads. Not fast like wild fire but slow. Mind you I want to say a fog but that can also rise rather quickly. But lures you to your truest nature twists until there is nothing left of the person you once were. And that is where this story finds its second root. Time passed and Nox Averosa grew into a powerful kingdom. Life in the dark kingdom was not bad. Unlike the name would suggest. But you take freedom for granted and the world becomes a lawless one. In the civilian colonies respect is loose term. Discipline lacks. People take what they want with no regard for the order and harmony of the system and as Nox become a currency based kingdom poverty was a problem in some areas. At the same time the army thrived. Zoku became a force to be reckoned with. Commanders and captains were never crossed for fear of death as Zoku had early in his reign obtained a dagger that can kill an immortal. As the he darkness grew and his armies grew stronger he decided to challenge Neos for dominion of the realms. This reigned the second war that Edaine would see in its long life. Zoku attacked the celestial city from the south. They came with horses, griffins, acid spewing beast. Their warriors looked like things that came from the depths – for lack of a better term here – of Hell. Its was a sea of black. A hail of green sludge and yellow fire. It took three weeks but the city fell and thousands died. The city fell but Neos did not. The elementals banned together once more, this time nine against one of their own. It was a sad day. Zoku was brought down in a fierce battle between himself and Noes that lasted four tireless days. They duelled with swords. Lightning bolts, fireballs, telepathy, psychology, and even hand to hand close combat. This would in later year become a tournament death-match. But for now the fate of the realms was at play. Neos was victorious and Zoku was placed in a prison stripped of his powers entirely. The law was passed that never again a war would be fought in civilian terrain. And a hundred mile canyon was carved by Frazier on the border line between NoxAverosa and DorsAccera. Unfortunately for the world the darkness was now free until the next Elemental be born. This would happen even generation for all other elementals. But the darkness was patient. The reigns to the kingdom was pass down in the the monarchy. Now here is where things would get tricky. Zoha was spoilt a brat and not really ruling anything. Everyone with half a brain knew that his father was still ruling the kingdom ever from his cage and was planing to break free soon as he could. Remember the small independent state I mentioned. As the kingdom suffered under poverty the people stated to harass Xavier and the occupants off his fiefdoms. In need of a solution Xavior and his little brother started to plot against the high king in secret to find the next Elemental of Darkness and raise a new king.
